Karlach reminds Cloud a lot of Zack in some aspects. She has a strong personality. Endlessly cheerful. Optimistic. Seems to make friends wherever she goes. Lots of energy. And he finds it a little hard to tell her no just because of how earnest Karlach is. She's honestly not bad company.

THAT'S HIS DAUGHTER! No, really. Nimona is this NOT kid that sort of latched onto him. Cloud is aware of a lot of her fears and insecurities. They've been around one another pretty much since day one. Nimona is a sweet person with a lot of emotions and thoughts, if you can get passed her need for violence and chaos. They're working on that. More than anything he wants to make sure that she knows what it is like to have a family, to know that there are people who will always be there for her no matter what. And she does call him dad.

Things with Tifa are a little more complicated that what he would like. She is from a different point in time than he is and... Some of their memories don't exactly match. That has created a small rift and neither of them know entirely how to breach it. They are trying. Tifa is Tifa, no matter what though and Cloud considers her to be one of his closest friends. At the moment he hasn't told her anything about what is going to happen and he won't. Not unless she asks.

Seems like an okay kid. There's a level of sass there that Cloud finds that he can appreciate. There's parts of Ventus that remind him of a younger version of himself. Maybe that's one of the reasons he wants to make sure that the innocence, at least, gets to stay for a little longer.

Zack is probably the first real friend that Cloud has had in which he can truly be himself around. It goes without saying that Cloud owes him a lot. Wouldn't be the person that he is today without Zack. So he thinks very highly of him. Hopes that he can live up to those expectations and be worthy of the legacy that the guy had left him with. Right now he is grateful for the time that he gets to have with him in the game setting. It's a chance to have his friend back. Make more memories.

Cloud still feels a lot of complicated things towards Aerith. He really still hasn't gotten the opportunity to sort them out. The guilt that he's had over her death has ebbed a lot over the years and he's interested in getting to know her as Cloud rather than someone who isn't really genuinely Cloud. Maybe if he can he can unpack the emotions that he has.

There's something about Vincent's presence that always is easy to be around. Cloud thinks of them as similar in personality and disposition. It's comfortable being around Vincent, likely because there's no need to fill the silence. Vincent is much like a stray cat - coming and going as he pleases. Yet you can always count on him to be there and be straight with you.

This kid seems to think that he knows Cloud. It's a little confusing, being around someone that insists on knowing him and yet he, himself, has no memory of. It does seem to bother Sora a little, but he doesn't let it show. Cloud can tell that the kid is bottling up some of his emotions. It worries him a little. Being bright and cheerful all of the time isn't healthy. So he'll just keep watching the kid for now.
